We are delighted to announce that Marc Friedli has been appointed as our new Head of Operations.
Since joining Congenius in January 2021 as a Senior Consultant in the Operations team, Marc has provided invaluable support to our customers in the fields of process engineering and production.
Formed from 20 years of MedTech experience spanning mechanical design, equipment qualification, process validation, and project leadership, Marc’s diverse knowledge and practical expertise are perfectly suited to leading our Operations department.
Marc began his MedTech career as a Mechanical Designer at Insys, providing robotics and equipment for production line automation for companies in the pharmaceutical sector. Following this role, he joined Roche Diabetes Care AG as a Process Engineer working in product care. After two years in the role at Roche, Marc became a Project Leader, managing production processes for a new insulin pump, which facilitated his involvement in the complete industrialisation of the product.
Following his seven-year tenure at Roche Diabetes Care, Marc became Head of Production at packaging company Ivers-Lee, leading a team of 70, producing drug packaging solutions for large pharma companies.
Almost five years in senior sales and business development positions at Mobatime followed, which developed Marc’s entrepreneurial mindset and broadened his perspective. 2021 then saw Marc’s return to MedTech, and his start with us at Congenius.
On undertaking the new role, he said: “I returned to the MedTech industry because I’m motivated by using my energy and experience to help improve people’s lives through solving problems quickly. Congenius has provided a great platform for achieving this via our collaborative work with our customers, and I’m excited to build on this further as the new Head of Operations.”
He added: “I’m thankful for the opportunity to lead such a talented group of consultants. I believe that if you work hard enough to motivate your team, they will rally behind you, and together you can achieve lasting success. I’m looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish together.”
