This year marks eight years since the founding of Congenius. Born from a passion for sharing knowledge, our current CEO Jörg Dogwiler formed the company in 2016 to offer customers tailored medical device and IVD expertise in Quality and Regulatory.
Almost a decade on, and over 400 projects later, the organisation has successfully expanded into eHealth, Operations, and Clinical, thanks to the hard work of our internal team, and the lasting relationships we have forged with our customers and partner network.
The MedTech industry is fast-moving and ever-evolving. And to continually succeed, companies must adapt, optimise, and implement meaningful change. As such, we are excited to announce an important organisational update.
From 1st July this year, Bastian Perroset will become our new Congenius CEO. Bastian has been our Head of Operations and Deputy CEO at Congenius since 2017. He offers 25 years of experience in MedTech and Pharma within product development and commercialisation, and over 15 years in leadership and entrepreneurial positions within regulated industries.
Bastian’s passion for continuous improvement is demonstrated by his lengthy list of field expertise, spanning Project Management, Operational Excellence, Risk Management, Design & Process Validation, and Quality Management Systems to name but a few.
Jörg Dogwiler commented: “Bastian has been an integral part of the Congenius organisation for the past seven years, and I am delighted to be handing over the helm to such a dynamic, forward-thinking, and respected member of the team.”
Jörg will remain at Congenius full time, moving into the role of Executive Board Member with a strong focus on business development. He remarked:
“I am still completely invested in our company’s future growth and success so Congenius will remain my absolute business priority. I very much look forward to continuing the nurturing of our customer relationships, developing the organisation’s customer portfolio, and shaping new business strategies.”
On undertaking the new role, Bastian said: “With a changing business environment and global regulatory challenges, as consultants it’s as important as ever to combine creativity and efficiency to meet the varied needs of our customers. My highest priority is to continue Jörg’s great leadership and support our team to facilitate smart and sustainable solutions.”
