Current opportunities
Quality Assurance Specialist Aseptic Production (temporary, 100%, 1 year)
Reporting into our Head of Quality, Dr. Dirk Hüber
Your Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with GMP requirements in aseptic production environments (Grade A/B cleanrooms) and microbiological laboratories
- Conduct regular Gemba Walks on the production floor and laboratories to monitor quality standards
- Review and support deviation reports, investigations, and CAPAs
- Act as QA representative in cross-functional project teams
- Provide quality input including risk assessments and QA opinions
- Support and deliver training sessions (classroom and on-the-job) for production staff
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing and other stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement
- Support batch release-related QA activities (as applicable)
- Maintain and improve quality documentation and procedures
Your Skills & Experience
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or related field
- Initial experience in Quality Assurance or aseptic manufacturing
- Solid understanding of GMP requirements, ideally in sterile/aseptic environments
- Experience working in cleanroom environments (Grade A/B preferred)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Structured, detail-oriented, and quality-driven mindset
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
- Ideally first-hand experience in QA project work and risk management
- Willingness to work on-site in Bern with flexible working hours (occasionally early or late shifts)
- Fluency in English and native German is a must

System Testing Technician Medical Devices (temporary, 100%, 1 year)
Reporting into our Head of Operations, Marc Friedli
Your Responsibilities
- Independently conduct on-site testing (100% on-site availability) as a System Testing Technician, ensuring adherence to internal and external standards
- Contribute to design characterisation and verification of surgical instrumentation (e.g., power tools, robotic systems) across development and lifecycle projects
- Execute test protocols to verify safety, performance, and regulatory compliance of medical devices
- Perform hands-on testing across multiple engineering domains (mechanical, electrical, optical, firmware, and software)
- Collaborate with system engineering teams to run test plans, analyse data, and generate comprehensive test reports
- Accurately document laboratory activities in designated laboratory management systems (GxP/GDP compliant)
- Communicate test results, technical issues, and proposed solutions to cross-functional teams and senior engineers
- Support laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, inventory management, and general upkeep
- Continuously improve test methods, processes, and efficiency in collaboration with engineers and technicians
Your Skills & Experience
- Education as a lab technician, engineer, or in a natural science field
- At least 1 year of experience in a GxP test laboratory within regulated industries (medical devices)
- Hands-on experience with electronical equipment (oscilloscopes, digital data acquisition system, digital multimeters, etc.) is preferred
- Experience in development of electro-mechanical fixture development and qualification of test equipment is preferred
- Very accurate work approach with good documentation skills in GDP environment
- Independent, self-organised, and hands-on attitude
- Systematic and analytical thinker with strong problem‐solving capabilities
- Team player who works efficiently and is flexible in interdisciplinary teams
- Very good communication skills and ability to gain trust with stakeholders
- German and English are a must
