We are delighted to announce that Dr Sarah Bosshard has been appointed as our new Head of Clinical.
Since joining Congenius in August 2022 as a Senior Consultant in the Clinical team, Sarah has made significant contributions in her role, providing our customers with invaluable support on various clinical topics related to MDR and IVDR.
With several years of experience in clinical research and clinical affairs, specifically clinical operations, Sarah has worked extensively in the MedTech sector. Her expertise encompasses the entire life cycle of clinical evaluation in MedTech, with a particular focus on leveraging various clinical data generation strategies, such as design and execution of clinical studies in line with ISO 14155 to generate robust evidence.
Following her PhD studies in structural biology at the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) and ETH Zürich, Sarah began her MedTech career at Zimmer Biomet, undertaking various roles including Junior Clinical Project Lead and MDR Clinical Operations Manager. During her time at Zimmer Biomet, Sarah established and managed multiple clinical studies, and led the MDR team of Clinical Project Leads, ensuring MDR-compliant study execution across all business units.
On undertaking the new role, Sarah said: “Working in clinical affairs allows you to see close-up how medical products directly affect people’s lives. My role at Congenius has allowed me to support customers as they work on safe, effective, and life-enhancing medical devices. It’s invigorating work, and I’m looking forward to building on this further as Head of Clinical, as we develop our customer base and internal team.”
She added: “This move marks an exciting new chapter in my career with Congenius, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to accomplish new milestones together with Bastian and the team.”
