Congenius launches Clinical department with Dr Barbara Widmann at the helm

We are very excited to announce the launch of our new Clinical department, led by Dr Barbara Widmann.

As the latest of our five service areas, our Clinical offering will include a variety of services that cover the entire lifecycle of a medical device – from smart clinical strategy to comprehensive clinical evaluation.

Congenius CEO Jörg Dogwiler commented, “Clinical strategy, evaluation and investigations are not just important parts of the initial journey to successfully delivering medical devices to market, but are also key to keeping them there. The launch of our Clinical team will now allow us to provide additional support to our customers, with a smart approach to clinical affairs that facilitates lasting solutions for both pre and post market challenges.”

As head of the Clinical team, Dr Barbara Widmann will bring with her a strong scientific background and almost a decade of experience in the medical device industry. During her work as team lead facilitating a global medical device registration, Barbara ran international trials with a focus on high quality study conduct and a commitment to budget and timeline adherence.

On joining Congenius she said, “I am passionate about finding pragmatic solutions that drive projects forward, whilst ensuring a consistently high standard of quality. I look forward to working with Jörg and the Congenius team to provide tailored clinical support for our customers.”

Jörg added: “We are so happy to have Barbara on board. Her eye for detail, passion for thoroughness, strong leadership, and solid knowledge of international standards and global regulatory requirements related to clinical affairs make her the ideal person to lead our clinical affairs team effectively.”
